    FOUNDER

    Allow us to introduce Amy Evans, the driving force behind Able. She is a future trainee solicitor at Allen & Overy, currently pursuing an LLB Law degree at the University of Nottingham.

    Having personally navigated the challenges of her own early careers journey while grappling with a long-term mental health condition and awaiting assessments for autism and ADHD, Amy's journey is one of resilience and determination. She understands the complexities and hurdles of the early careers landscape, and her experiences have ignited a desire to create a platform that empowers disabled and neurodiverse candidates.

    Alex Ismail

    DIRECTOR

    Meet Alex Ismail, an Audit Associate at PwC who brings a unique perspective to the table. With a background in BA History (First Class) at the University of Nottingham, Alex's passion for understanding the past complements his dedication to shaping a more inclusive future.

    His interest in Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DE&I) fuels his mission to empower individuals on their own early careers journeys. With a keen eye for detail and a heart set on making a difference, Alex is a true advocate for diversity and empowerment.

    Biotechnology with Enterprise student at the University of Leeds with industry exposure in construction working as Stockton’s Project Coordinator and legal via several work placements.

    I plan to pursue a career in commercial law with a specific interest in the energy and life sciences sectors and an active supporter of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion from recruitment to the workplace

    I’m Eliza Higginson, a law student at the University of Nottingham, an avid tea drinker and a cancer survivor. As someone with a long-term health condition, I have faced some challenges in breaking the stereotypes surrounding this, and I hope to help others gain confidence and recognise their potential.

    As an individual who has struggled with navigating their own mental health, I am keen to explore avenues to help create a successful space for neurodiverse and disabled individuals, and I feel Able will be the catalyst to this process. I hope to help make a difference to these individuals in this particular landscape of early careers.

    My name is Hannah Williams and I am a second year law student at the University of Leeds. Having faced many challenges throughout my academic journey so far, I am extremely passionate about the need for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion within the early careers landscape.
